Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapakshe has instructed to interdict the Fiscal Officer of the Colombo Commercial High Court.
The directive has been issued in relation to the incident pertaining to the detention of the Russian Aeroflot airline at the Katunayake Airport on Saturday over a private legal dispute.
Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe said the Fiscal Officer has been charged of having abused his powers in connection to the injunction order issued against the airline.
The Justice Minister has also pointed out that it is appropriate to take action against the Attorney-at-Law accused in relation to the incident as well.
The Aeroflot flight which was detained in Sri Lanka from Saturday had left for Moscow yesterday.
Russia had raised concerns over the sudden detention of its airline, calling on local authorities to intervene.
The flight was permitted to leave after measures were taken with the involvement of the Prime Minister and Justice Minister. (NewsWire)
