WATCH : “We put forward Dullas” Mahinda Rajapaksa speaks

Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says even Dullas Alahapperuma was nominated by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) group backed by him. 

Speaking to reporters following the election for a new President, MP Mahinda Rajapaksa said that they had voted for Alahapperuma but he had lost the contest.

MP Rajapaksa further said they are also anticipating the appointment of a new government, which he says will have to be accepted by the people. (NewsWire)
