Jayasuriya to promote ‘Ramayana Trail’ : Meets Indian HC

Newly appointed Sri Lanka Tourism Ambassador and cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya met the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay yesterday. 

The discussion between the two officials focused on strengthening ties between Sri Lanka and India. 

Commenting on the meeting, Sanath Jayasuriya said Sri Lanka will concentrate on promoting the Ramayana trail to Indian tourists.

“Special thank you to His excellency Gopal Baglay for graciously agreeing to see me. We will concentrate on promoting the Ramayana trail to Indian tourists. @IndiainSL.” he Tweeted. 

Meanwhile, the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka said the meeting focused on strengthening ties between the people of India and Sri Lanka.

The High Commission further said it also focused on promoting tourism as an instrument for economic recovery.
