Three suspects have been arrested on charges of attacking and torching the residence of Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa in Hokandara during the public unrest on 09th May.
The Police said the suspects had destroyed property and set fire to the MP’s house located in Hokandara in the Malabe Police area.
The suspects had been arrested in Hokandara yesterday by officers from the Western Province North Crimes Division.
The suspects have been identified as 18, 36, and 38 year-olds and residents of Hokandara.
The Western Province North Crimes Division is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
