A man has been arrested for killing his father and injuring his mother by attacking them with an iron rod in Ratmalana last morning (01).
The Police said the suspect is said to have attacked his parents due to a personal dispute.
The father who has been bedridden over the last two years had died on the spot, while the injured mother has been admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital in Kalubowila.
The deceased has been identified as a 70-year-old resident of Ratmalana.
The suspect has been arrested, while the Mount Lavinia Police is conducting investigations into the murder. (NewsWire)
