Validity period of temporary driving licences extended

The Department of Motor Traffic has decided to extend the validity of the driving licences that have been temporarily issued for a period of 06 months.

The department has extended the validity period of the temporarily issued driving licences to a period of one year. 

Those with temporary 06- months licences have been advised to visit the Department of Motor Traffic office in Werehera or their District offices to extend the validity of the licence. 

The Department of Motor Traffic further said it is currently only issuing licence cards for Sri Lankans who are travelling overseas for employment. (NewsWire)
