The wholesale prices of several items, including lentils and white sugar, have been reduced at the Pettah market, the Essential Food Commodities Importers and Traders Association said.
According to Hiru News, the price of a kilo of lentils has been reduced from Rs. 375 to Rs. 350.
A kilo of white sugar which was sold for Rs. 290 has been reduced to Rs. 225.
The Essential Food Commodities Importers and Traders Association said the price of a kilo of wheat flour has also been reduced to Rs. 250. (NewsWire)
