The Health Ministry has refuted media reports claiming that State Minister of Health Dr. Seetha Arambepola had requested a V8 Jeep.
Issuing a statement, the Health Ministry said that the news article published by Aruna Newspaper was false.
The Ministry further revealed that two V8 Jeeps that had been used by former State Ministers were currently being used by Additional Secretaries of the Ministry.
The Health Ministry clarified that the Ministry had taken a decision to provide one of the V8 Jeep to State Minister of Health Dr. Seetha Arambepola, adding that she had not requested the vehicle.
Further refuting references in the news article claiming that the State Minister was offered a BMW vehicle, the Ministry said that no such vehicle has been issued to Dr. Seetha Arambepola. (NewsWire)
