Zam Zam Foundation’s annual “School with a Smile” programme for 2023 was officially launched at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo on Sunday (11).
The programme has so far supported 87,000 students from needy families across Sri Lanka to continue their education without any hindrance due to poverty or other similar factors.
The inauguration was graced by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardana, as the chief guest of the event.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabri, State Minister of Rural Economy Kader Masthan, MPs Prof. Ranjith Bandara and Dallas Alahapperuma, Diplomats, Officials, Community Leaders, Multi-Religious Leaders, Well-wishers, and School students also participated in the event.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena commended the work of the organization stating that the services carried out are exemplary and thanked on behalf of the Government.
