A group of MPs have requested President Ranil Wickremesinghe to table the report of the Presidential Committee of Inquiry on the acts of violence in the country since 31st March 2022.
The letter signed by 115 MPs was handed over to the President on Wednesday (21) by SLPP MP Madhura Withanage
Former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa appointed a Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate the violence that took place across the country since March 31.
The three-member committee, chaired by former Navy Commander Admiral Wasantha Karnnagoda, former Air Force Commander Roshan Gunathilake and former Army Commander Daya Ratnayake, has recently submitted the investigation report to President Ranil Wickramasinghe. (NewsWire)
