Authorities have apprehended a stash of narcotics worth nearly Rs. 20 Million concealed inside a package of toys sent via airmail from the United States of America.
The police said that a person who came to collect the parcel was arrested. The suspect is a 44-year-old resident of Colombo 14.
The raid was carried out by the officers of the Special Raid Unit of the Special Task Force headquarters along with the Customs and Police Narcotics Bureau officers.
The police further said that 1 kg and 367 grams of kush drug was inside the parcel. The police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
