A Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in the Monaragala Division has been arrested with a large stock of cannabis plants.
Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said that the SSP was arrested by officials from the Police Special Task Force (STF).
SSP Thalduwa further stated that the SSP was found to be in possession of 350 cannabis plants.
He added that a team from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has been deployed to conduct further investigations into the matter. (NewsWire)
