Sri Lanka’s Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has revealed details on the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Tax for employees.
The document is a breakdown of the structure of the PAYE Tax payment based on the monthly income and related tax deduction.
The Inland Revenue Department document outlines the PAYE Tax payment starting from Rs. 100,000 income.
The details on the tax have been revealed after the government recently prohibited state and semi-government institutions from paying the PAYE Tax of employees through the respective institutions’ funds.
