Most opposition MPs boycotted President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s throne speech today.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe ceremonially declared open the fourth session of the ninth Parliament and delivered the government’s policy statement.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the National People’s Power (NPP) boycotted the speech.
A few other members of the opposition were also absent while a number of others walked out when the President commenced his speech. (NewsWire)
