A 1 ½-year-old toddler has died in an accident involving a vehicle at a house in the Kalubowila area last evening.
The Police stated that the female child had been run over by a vehicle when the driver had attempted to reverse it out of the garage.
The incident had occurred at a house located at Ruban Peiris Mawatha in Kalubowila.
The child who had sustained serious injuries in the accident had died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
Investigations have revealed that the accident had occurred due to the negligence of the driver of the vehicle.
The Police stated that the child’s uncle had operated the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The Kohuwala Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
