The public has been requested to refrain from sharing details of their various activities, especially outdoor tours, during the April festive season on social media platforms.
Speaking to the media today, Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa requested the public to refrain from sharing sensitive information such as their whereabouts outdoors on social media.
He pointed out that organized criminal groups utilize these information to carryout house robberies during this period.
SSP Thalduwa further requested those leaving their homes to activate their CCTV cameras and to monitor the footage on a regular basis to prevent robberies. (NewsWire)
