President Ranil Wickremesinghe should be elected as President uncontested for another term by the public, United National Party ( UNP) MP Vajira Abeywardena said.
According to Daily Mirror, MP Vajira Abeywardena said that those who intend to contest against the President are not capable of reviving an economy and bringing Sri Lanka back on the global front.
“Within a short period of time since being elected, Ranil Wickremesinghe was capable of bringing normalcy to Sri Lanka where there were queues for fuel and gas, and various protests,” the MP said.
The UNP MP added that in his view, the public must elect Ranil Wickremesinghe as the President uncontested for another term. (NewsWire)
