President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued a warning to teachers involved in examination paper marking.
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the President said that education would be made an essential service under emergency law if teachers refuse to return to paper marking by next week.
President Wickremesinghe further emphasized that he will not allow the education of children to be taken hostage.
