A new political party under the name ‘United Republican Front’ will be launched in May, Opposition MP Patali Champika Ranawaka stated.
Speaking to the media today, MP Champika Ranawaka said the new political party will be launched on May 22, 2023.
He further stated that the new political party will be launched to coincide with Sri Lanka’s Republic Day marked on May 22.
Stating that the country became bankrupt due to the actions of old political parties and an old political system, the MP said it was essential to provide a platform for a new group.
