The overall headline inflation based on the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) decreased to 25.2% in May 2023, the Department of Census and Statistics reported.
According to the department, the inflation recorded for May is a drop in comparison to the 35.3% recorded in April 2023.
Food Inflation also saw a dip in May, dropping to 21.5% from the 30.6% recorded in April.
Meanwhile, Non-Food Inflation decreased to 27% in May, from the 37.6% recorded in April.
