First group leaves for 2023 Hajj pilgrimage from Sri Lanka

His Excellency Khalid Hamoud Al-Kahtani, the Saudi Ambassador for Sri Lanka, attended the farewell ceremony for the first group of Hajj pilgrims from Sri Lanka at Bandaranaike International Airport today.

The group consisted of 63 pilgrims.

During his speech, His Excellency expressed the Kingdom’s warm welcome to the guests of Rahman from all parts of the world. He explained that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques attaches great importance to the pilgrims of the House of the Almighty Allah. All necessary measures have been taken to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims, enabling them to perform the Hajj rituals with ease.

Furthermore, His Excellency praised the level of coordination and cooperation between the Embassy, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and officials of the Sri Lankan Hajj Committee in making the necessary arrangements for the Sri Lankan Hajj pilgrims
