A Russian couple and another woman have been injured after the three-wheeler they were travelling in was involved in a multi-vehicle collision near the Katukurunda Fuel Station.
According to CCTV footage, the three-wheeler had collided with three other three-wheelers and a motorcycle that were parked by the fuel station.
The accident occurred while the tourists were on their way from a hotel in Waskaduwa to Hikkaduwa.
The Police suspect that the accident may have occurred due to the driver falling asleep at the wheel.
The driver of the three-wheeler that transported the Russian couple has been arrested over the accident. (NewsWire)
