Cricket will be one of the 37 sports to be played at the 2023 Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China. Both men’s and women’s Twenty20 International tournaments will be held. Prior to this edition, cricket was last played at the Asian Games in 2014.
The tournament will include 14 men’s teams and eight women’s teams, fighting in their respective categories for the coveted gold medal.
Scheduled to be played in the T20 format, the men’s event will be played between September 27 and October 8, while the women’s version will be held between September 19 and 25 in the same format. Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field is the host stadium for all the matches.
Although, Sri Lanka Cricket has not yet released the list of players, National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka had today posted the details of the Sri Lanka’s men’s team participating in the tournament.
