The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released a video seemingly showing Sri Lanka Skipper Kusal Mendis planning the run out of England’s Adil Rashid at the non-striker’s end at the Cricket World Cup.
Sri Lanka defeated England by 08 wickets in the 25th match of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup which was played in Bengaluru on Thursday (Oct 26).
In the new video footage shared by the ICC, Mendis is seen planning the runout and executing it in Sri Lanka’s 31st over.
The runout has made rounds on social media platforms, with many social media users praising Kusal Mendis for his presence of mind.
