Weight of a bread loaf – new directive issued

An Extraordinary Gazette has been issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority, specifying the standard weight of a loaf of bread.

Accordingly, the standard weight of a loaf of bread has been set as 450 g with an allowed deficiency of 13.5 g.

For half a loaf of bread, the standard weight has been set as 225 g with a tolerance deficiency of 9 g.

Additionally, all traders have been directed to display the weight of any bread displayed for sale. (NewsWire)
