A Chinese woman has been apprehended in connection to a financial fraud of over Rs. 8.4 million, it was reported.
The Police said the 52-year-old Chinese woman was arrested in Colpetty on Saturday.
She was arrested based on a complaint that had been filed with the Police on January 31.
As per the Police complaint, the Chinese woman had received money for business ventures and had failed to return it.
The suspect is being investigated by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau. (NewsWire)
