The United National Party (UNP) led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, has called on four prominent Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) members to join forces with the President.
UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara has invited SJB members Thalatha Athukorale, Kabeer Hashim, Harsha de Silva, and Eran Wickramaratne to join the UNP.
Stating that the UNP’s policies are not followed by the SJB at present, Range Bandara requested the SJB to decide if they are going to implement the policies of Nalaka Godahewa or the policies of the UNP.
Palitha Range Bandara also said that the invitation to join has also been extended to other SJB members who have not been named.
He made the remarks while addressing a media briefing held at the UNP’s Headquarters. (Newswire)
