Chairman of Aura Lanka Group of Companies Viranjith Thambugala has been arrested by Police over allegations of financial fraud.
Thambugala was remanded until May 27 when he was produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today.
Thambugala’s business ventures have been under the scrutiny of authorities, while he was also cleared of charges related to an unauthorised entry into the Anuradhapura Prison. (Newswire)
