A total of 1,289 naval personnel who were absent without leave (AWL) have been legally discharged during the General Amnesty period declared from 20 April to 20 May 2024.
This General Amnesty was specifically applicable to sailors, excluding all Artificers, Professional Medical, and Professional Dental sailors, who have been AWL and sought to obtain official discharge.
During the amnesty period, 1,254 naval personnel who were AWL were officially discharged, along with an additional 35 naval personnel who are currently overseas and AWL. (Newswire)
