The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the sudden demise of the French Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Maldives Jean-François Pactet.
Extending sympathies to the Ambassador’s family and the French authorities, the statement said that all necessary assistance will be provided by the Foreign Ministry.
The Ministry is in close coordination with the French Embassy in Sri Lanka during this time of grief, the statement said, adding that funeral arrangements will be announced in due course. (Newswire)
