Maximum Retail Prices for Imported Rice Announced

🟩 Maximum Retail Prices for Imported Rice – Effective from 21st October 2025.

The Consumer Affairs Authority has issued an Order under Section 20(5) of the CAA Act No. 9 of 2003 setting maximum retail prices for imported rice varieties.

• Imported Raw Rice – Rs. 210/- per kg

• Imported Nadu Rice – Rs. 220/- per kg

• Imported Samba Rice – Rs. 230/- per kg

• Imported Ponni Samba (GR 11 / Keeri Samba) – Rs. 240/- per kg

• Imported Kiri Ponni / Paal Ponni (GR 11) – Rs. 255/- per kg
