The Bribery Commission has informed former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to submit an affidavit detailing his assets, expenses, and sources of income on or before April 10.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has issued the directive as part of its ongoing inquiries, sources said.
According to the notice, Rajapaksa has been requested to provide a comprehensive declaration covering his assets, liabilities, expenditure, and income sources within the specified timeframe.
Failure to comply with the request may result in further legal action under the provisions of the relevant laws, officials noted.
No immediate response has been issued by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa regarding the notice. (Newswire)
