The Player Draft for the sixth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will be held on June 1, 2026, in Colombo, with 421 cricketers entering the pool.
The draft includes 179 Sri Lankan players, spanning national, domestic, and emerging talent, and 242 overseas players. Categories featured are Platinum, Gold, Classic, Emerging, and Associate Stars.
Proceedings will begin at 1.30 pm, attended by franchise owners and team management.
Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sunil Kumara Gamage will be the Chief Guest, alongside Cricket Transformation Committee Chairman Eran Wickramaratne, members of the committee, Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley De Silva, and Tournament Director Samantha Dodanwela. (Newswire)
