A 41‑year‑old man from Dematagoda has been arrested at the Katunayake International Airport after arriving from Bangkok, Thailand, carrying a stock of ‘Kush’ drugs valued at Rs. 75 million.
The arrest was made during a joint raid by the Customs Narcotics Control Division and airport customs officers.
Officials said the suspect’s travel bag contained 7.5 kilograms of Kush carefully concealed.
The suspect has been handed over to the Airport Police Narcotics Division for further investigations. (Newswire)
