The body of an unidentified man has been found in the Kelani River in the Jalthara area within the Hanwella Police Division, police said.
The body was recovered on Thursday (11) evening following information received by the Hanwella Police Station.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
A magistrate’s inquiry is due to be conducted into the death, while Hanwella Police are conducting further investigations. (Newswire)
