
Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets declined by 1.1% in September 2026, compared to the previous month, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
The Central Bank reported that the country’s official reserve assets decreased to US$ 6.85 billion by the end of September, down from US$ 6.92 billion recorded in August 2026.
This represents a month-on-month decline of US$ 78 million.
The CBSL further noted that the official reserve assets include funds received under the currency swap arrangement with the People’s Bank of China. (Newswire)
