Applicants visiting regional offices to obtain passports under both one-day and normal services must reserve a date and time online starting tomorrow (October 29), the Department of Immigration and Emigration announced.
Applicants are required to make these prior appointments through the official website before presenting themselves at any regional office.
According to Department Spokesperson Mahesh Karunadasa, the online facility has been arranged on the official Immigration and Emigration website under the link ‘Reserving a date and time to obtain passports through regional offices’. Meanwhile, passport services at the department’s head office in Battaramulla will continue to operate as usual without changes. (Newswire)
