Steps are being taken to address shortcomings in the LMT Go mobile application based on feedback and practical difficulties experienced by passengers using the Metro Bus service, Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena has stated.

According to the Deputy Minister, a special discussion was held on November 4 to identify existing issues and improve the application’s efficiency and reliability.

The discussion, chaired by Deputy Minister Gunasena at the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development, focused on the experiences of passengers who regularly use the application, including the practical difficulties they encounter and their suggestions for improvement.

Feedback from Metro Bus operational staff and technical service providers was also considered to identify weaknesses and introduce improvements that better address passenger requirements.

The Deputy Minister said the initiative aims to provide a more convenient, reliable and efficient digital service while improving the overall quality of public transport.

He emphasised that improving public transport involves not only expanding bus services but also enhancing the quality of services provided to passengers. (Newswire)
