The Sri Lanka Police has introduced a new WhatsApp hotline for the public to directly contact IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya regarding crimes and various other public issues.
According to the Police, the public can contact the IGP via the WhatsApp phone number, 071-8598888, from today.
The public has been advised that they may only use this new WhatsApp phone number to send text messages, videos, and photos directly to the IGP, but making phone calls to the respective number is not permitted.
The Police further said this facility could be used to report any information related to crimes and other issues they may encounter. (Newswire)
