Delivering a special statement in Parliament today (05 Dec), the President said that the deceased cannot be brought back to life, but the lives of the surviving could be made better by providing a better nation.
President Dissanayake pointed out that the current disaster situation has united the nation, with individuals from various parts of the country arriving in disaster-affected areas to carry out relief work.
The President further extended his gratitude to the tri-forces and the Police for their dedication during the current disaster situation, expressing his condolences to those who lost their lives in the line of duty. (Newswire)
