
The Global Buddhist Summit was held in India’s capital New Delhi, bringing together Buddhist leaders, scholars, practitioners and policymakers from around the world to discuss contemporary global challenges through the teachings of Buddhism.
The two-day summit, held on Jan. 24 and 25, drew more than 200 delegates and around 800 participants from India and abroad, according to organizers.
The event focused on promoting collective wisdom, mutual coexistence and the relevance of Buddhist philosophy in addressing modern global issues, including peacebuilding, ethics, governance and sustainable development.
The summit was organized by the International Buddhist Confederation in collaboration with India’s Ministry of Culture and other partner institutions.
Participants discussed ways to strengthen global Buddhist collaboration and enhance the role of Buddhist values in fostering dialogue and harmony across societies. (Newswire)
