D.S. Senanayake College will host its first-ever DS Premier League (DSPL 2026) indoor cricket tournament on November 21, bringing together Old Boys’ Association teams from leading schools across Sri Lanka as part of the College’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

Organised by the D.S. Senanayake College Batch of 2005, the tournament will be held at Club Fusion in Boralesgamuwa, commencing at 9.00 a.m.

The event will feature 24 teams, including 12 Old Boys’ Association teams representing different schools and 12 inter-batch teams from D.S. Senanayake College.

The tournament will be played in an eight-a-side indoor softball cricket format, with more than 500 participants and spectators, including alumni, professionals, corporate executives and families, expected to attend.

The championship-winning team will receive Rs. 50,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs. 25,000 and a trophy.

Special awards will also be presented to the Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Best Fielder.

Organisers said the event aims to bring together generations of former students while promoting sportsmanship, friendship and traditional school rivalries.

The DS Premier League 2026 will also feature entertainment and networking opportunities, offering former students from different schools an opportunity to reconnect.

The tournament is being organised under the theme “24 Teams. One Battle. One Champion,” marking a new sporting initiative in the College’s 60-year history. (Newswire)
