The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has established a 24×7 Covid-19 vaccination centre at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake which will be in operation from today.
The SLAF Spokesman said the vaccination centre has been set up to administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated Sri Lankans arriving from abroad.
He further said it will be provided to Sri Lankans returning from overseas who have not been vaccinated with the first, second or booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, the health authorities commenced administering the COVID-19 vaccine to a selected age group of school children in Sri Lanka today.
Children between the ages of 12-15 years will be administered the COVID-19 vaccine under the vaccination programme. (NewsWire)
