Haleon Sri Lanka, formerly SmithKline Beecham Private Limited, a leading consumer healthcare product company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA) for the second consecutive year as the Official Sponsor of World Oral Health Day, 2026. The MoU was formalised at a ceremony held on March 4.

Celebrated on March 20 each year, this year’s World Oral Health Day theme, “A happy mouth is a happy life,” highlights the essential role oral health plays in overall wellbeing at every stage of life.

This renewed partnership brings a fresh, awareness-led approach that encourages Sri Lankans to Be Sensitive to Oral Health and Take the First Step towards better daily care. Throughout the month-long campaign, Haleon and SLDA will work together to provide meaningful oral health benefits across the country, shifting behaviours from reactive treatment to proactive care.

As part of the initiative, free dental screenings will be offered nationwide, including at the flagship World Oral Health Day event at Galle Face, Colombo, bringing targeted oral health education, sensitivity checks, and screening services directly to communities. More than 10,000 people across Sri Lanka are expected to benefit, with SLDA members participating actively across the island to help make quality dental care more accessible for all.

Strengthened by a strong presence across traditional and digital platforms, the collaboration reinforces Haleon’s purpose of Delivering Better Everyday Health with Humanity, by expanding both awareness and access to oral health services.

Haleon Sri Lanka, which began local manufacturing in 1956, continues to deliver better everyday health through a strong portfolio of trusted brands, including Sensodyne, Panadol, Iodex, and ENO.
