Applications open for vacancy at Office on Missing Persons

Applications have been called for the appointment to the post of Member to the Office on Missing Persons (OMP).

According to a Parliament statement, the applications have been called under the Office on Missing Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions) Act, No. 14 of 2016 (as amended).

Persons with previous experience in fact-finding or investigation, human rights law, international humanitarian law, and humanitarian response or those who possess other qualifications relevant to the carrying out of the functions of the OMP, have been requested to apply.

The applications are called to fill a vacancy which will arise in October 2025 for the post of Member in the Office on Missing Persons (OMP).         

The applications should be prepared in accordance with the application form, which is available on the website of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, www.parliament.lk, with a quick link named ‘Appointment of Member to the OMP’.

The duly completed applications should be sent to the Acting Secretary-General of the Constitutional Council, Constitutional Council – Office, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, on or before 14 October 2025.

The applications are to be sent by registered post or by email to constitutionalcouncil@parliament.lk with ‘Appointment of Member to the OMP’ indicated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope, or as the subject of the email.
