Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe says he has received several requests to contest Sri Lanka’s Presidential Election.
Speaking to reporters, the minister said a large number of the requests have been made by members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s (SLFP) Central Working Committee.
He further said several religious leaders, including the Maha Sangha, have also made similar requests from him.
Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe added that he will announce his decision next week on whether or not he will contest the Presidential Election. (Newswire)
