Workers at job sites are urged to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible. People indoors are advised to check on elderly persons and those who are sick.
The public is also warned not to leave children unattended in vehicles. Those engaging in outdoor activities should limit strenuous activities, seek shade and stay hydrated.
