An individual has been arrested with a stock of gold items and electronic equipment illegally brought into the country, based on Army intelligence.
Airport Police apprehended the suspect, a resident of Wellampitiya, who arrived from Dubai on 30 December 2025.
He was found to be carrying gold, mobile phones, and computer equipment without paying customs duties.
The suspect has been handed over to Customs for further investigations. (Newswire)
