A shooting incident was reported last night (04) near the water tank that supplies water to the Mathugama Kanda area, according to the Mathugama Police.
Two unidentified individuals who had arrived on a motorcycle had carried out the shooting and fled the area.
Damage was caused to the front window, walls, and cabinet of the house, with the Police suspecting that the shooting was carried out with a weapon similar to a shotgun.
At the time of the shooting, a couple and their child were inside the house, but were not injured. (Newswire)
