Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arun Hemachandra says four Sri Lankans injured in recent Middle East attacks have all been discharged from the hospital and are recovering.
Hemachandra said in a statement that he had spoken by phone with three of the injured nationals, who confirmed they were safe and recovering well.
While the contact details for the fourth individual remain unreachable, the Deputy Minister noted that he, too, has been safely discharged.
“The safety and well-being of Sri Lankan nationals abroad continue to be a priority, and our missions in the region are closely engaged in monitoring the situation,” Hemachandra stressed.
He added that Sri Lanka hopes for restraint, stability, and a peaceful resolution that safeguards civilian lives amid heightened tensions. (Newswire)
